Privacy policy
The short version, in plain language.
What we keep
- Your username and a hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Your license key, the modules on it, and the machines and addresses that hold a slot.
- Your BuiltByBit username and member id, if you link it, and your orders.
- Support tickets you send us, and any files you attach to them.
- If you turn on two-factor, the key your authenticator app uses. If you make a recovery phrase, only a hash of it.
- Machines and addresses an admin has banned, with the reason.
Lattice Testbench
- Signing in to the Testbench checks your key like any Lattice product: it sends the key and a hashed id of your computer, which holds a slot.
- When you publish a server we keep which license published it, the public name and port it got, and when it opened and closed, for the publishing limits. While it is live we also keep the hashed id of your computer and your address, so one computer or network publishes one server at a time and misuse can be banned; both are deleted when it closes.
- Players reach a published server through our relay on lattice-testbench.xyz. It lets only Minecraft connections through, caps their speed, and does not record what they send.
- Usage counts are sent only if you agree in the app: a random id the app makes, its version, your operating system, and how many servers, publishes and bots you used. They are not linked to your account, key or address, and turning sharing off makes the app forget its id.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or show you ads.
- We do not read anything from your Minecraft servers beyond the license check.
Cookies
- One cookie keeps you signed in. We use no tracking cookies.
- The notice you dismiss is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
Your data
- Slots free themselves when a machine goes unseen for a while.
- Download everything we hold about you from the Security page, any time.
- Request deletion from your dashboard. Your license, tickets, attachments and links are erased once an admin approves it.
- The database is backed up daily and backups are kept for up to 50 days, so a deleted account can remain in an old backup until it ages out.
- Payment records are kept without your name, because we have to keep them for accounting.
